Learn more about the Silent Auction
Who is the Public Service Fund and what does it do?
The Public Service Fund (PSF) is a committee that raises money and gives money away to MINTies and MINTies to be who can't quite afford to come to the Forum or PreForum workshops or the TNT. The PSF is staffed by a fantastic gang of volunteer MINTies who participate in the review process for PSF applicants and the Silent Auction and raffle during the Forum each year.
What is a Silent Auction?
The PSF Silent Auction is an annual fundraiser that generates money through the generous donations of items by MINTies, which are then purchased by other MINTies. The bidding is done in writing, which is why it is silent and the highest bidder wins, thus, auction. You can participate in two different ways: as a donor and/or as a buyer.
New TNT members: If you are not staying for the Forum, and not available during the auction, you can always participate by donating items for others to buy.
What should I bring to offer?
It can be something that you use in your training practice, something that is specific to your region, or something that is meaningful to you that you think folks would like.
Use your imagination!
Last year, favorite items were jewelry, local food items, small items of clothing (t-shirts, scarves, etc.), decorative items, and even a nifty digital MITI coding spreadsheet. Not to mention the Bill and Steve key chains!
Remember that many people are traveling by air and can't take anything big or bulky.
You can help us by contacting us ahead of time and pre-registering your items, then just bring your item to the Forum.
We hope you will consider donating to the auction to help raise funds so that fellow MINTies can join us at future events.
Thank you in advance for helping with the PSF!
